Entering the void
A couple of weeks ago I read an article about the Goddess Aditi, the Hindu Goddess of the Void. I found myself reflecting on empty space and how we choose to fill it. My reflection went specifically to time and how we each choose to fill our time. Aditi is a goddess of abundance and the void is often described as a mother's womb, dark and creative.
The restructuring of our fall season and back to school has me feeling chaotic. I'm craving the void, a place to empty before refilling and I know where to find it. Meditation is a place to hang out in the void. To empty ourselves and wander around in the creative spaces within.
I am the Absolute
From me has proceeded the world of substance
and of consciousness,
the void and all phenomena.
I am bliss and non-bliss. . .
I am the unknown.
Below and above and around me am I.
